Sully Challenger Baseball (spring only)

Since 1993, the Sully Challenger Program in Western Fairfax County has provided the opportunity for mentally and physically challenged boys and girls, aged 4 to 22, to participate in an athletic environment structured to their abilities. Sully Challenger Baseball is a division of Little League Baseball and is co-sponsored by the Chantilly Youth Association (CYA) Little League and the Southwest Youth Association (SYA) Little League.

The Challenger program provides disabled children an opportunity to participate in America's Pastime, have fun and take part in a sport they would otherwise not have an opportunity to play. Challenger baseball fosters teamwork, self-esteem and social skills and lets kids experience how it feels to be cheered and earn awards for their achievements.

Everyone gets a chance to play, regardless of limitations or ability. Sully Challengers represents both the Chantilly and Southwestern Youth Associations, providing quality baseball for our area youth. The feedback we get from parents and players is very positive and the attitude of the kids is infectious. Our season starts in early April and we would love to have you join us. We play Friday afternoons between 6pm and 7:30 pm at Chantilly Park on Stringfellow Road (across the street from Chantilly High School).

Register your child to play Challenger Baseball through the Chantilly Youth Association website.

 Prep/Travel Baseball program for 9U, 10U, 11U, & 12U age groups

CYA sponsors travel baseball (CYATB) to augment our strong house program.  During the spring season, participation on travel team requires simultaneous participation on a house league team. However, during the fall, Chantilly Baseball strongly encourages, but does not require, simultaneous participation on a house league team.

Time commitments for travel baseball are great. They include at least one practice a week (in addition to house practices and games) and double headers on Sundays as well as participation in selected tournaments during the year - usually (but not always) over holiday weekends.

Players can also expect to pay separate fees for travel baseball over and above the fees required to participate in Chantilly Little League house baseball programs.

CYATB offers at least one team (two when sufficient interest) in each of the following age brackets: 9U, 10U, 11U, & 12U.

Babe Ruth Senior Baseball for boys and girls ages 16-18

CYA supports players ages 13-18 playing for Northern Fairfax County Babe Ruth: www.nfcbaberuth.com/registration which has players from Chantilly, Herndon, and Reston
